Who is George Webber ?,
I'm a freelance artist living in good old San Francisco. I'm originally from the East Coast (Boston) and I spent a few years in Colorado as well, but I eventually moved to California to be with the girl that would become my wife and get away from the cold. But little did I know that the city of San Francisco was California's icebox.
As an artist,
I enjoy making a wide range "art". I draw and color my own cartoons and comics, both books and strips, draw celebrity caricatures, pinup art.
My work has been in dozens of magazines like Easyriders, Biker, Rebel Rodz, Ol' Skool Rodz, Tattoo Savage, International Tattoo Art. It's been on countless web sites, custom cars, motorcycles, bicycles, people's bodys as t-shirts, jeans or tattoos and even been seen on TV.
Anyway, I've been an artist in some form or another all of my life, but my main focus has always been on cartooning, illustration.
It all started at a very early age back in the 50's with Saturday morning cartoons and "B" Science Fiction movies on TV and progressed quickly to the art of Ed "Big Daddy" Roth's Weirdo characters, Playboy's Vargas Pinups and cartoons by Gahan Wilson and Doug Sneyd.
There have been many other influences over the years too, but far too many to list here.
Over the years I been involved in every type of art I've come across. I spent seventeen years as a professional airbrush artist, got into photography, painting murals and tattooing.
I've built web sites, created game graphics, made short animations, done some sculpting,
I enjoy making gold and silver jewelry as well as customizing bicycles, motorcycles and hot rod cars.
I've even built kooky clocks, my own computers and I even dye my wife's hair !
People seem to like my work and some have started collecting my artwork, either for themselves or to give as gifts for friends, family or coworkers. So I created my web site to act as my portfolio and general outlet for all my creations and crazy things that I enjoy doing.
So that's who I am in a nut shell ... or a nut case depending on how you want to look at it.
